AI readiness for musicians, venues and promoters

Events are dated, ticketed and priced. They should be the easiest thing to publish.

The moment

Dee, who books a 250-capacity music venue

Someone visiting the city asks an assistant what is on this weekend, what time doors are, and whether tickets are still available.

What the agent needs: Event name, date, doors, ticket price and availability.

What actually happens: The listings page is a poster wall of JPEGs, the dates only exist on the ticketing partner, and there is no per-event URL. The assistant answers from a national listings site with last month's data.

Which dimensions decide it, and why

AIScan grades five dimensions. These are the ones that carry the outcome for this kind of business.

Content

Event schema — name, startDate, doorTime, location, offers — is exceptionally well supported. Posters are images and carry none of it.

Discoverability

Per-event URLs in the sitemap are what get a gig into an answer. A single listings page cannot hold nine separate answers.

Commerce

Ticket price and availability decide whether the answer says 'tickets from £14, still available' or nothing at all.

Questions we get asked

Our tickets are sold by a partner. Do we still need event pages?
Yes. The event page is what gets cited; the ticket link is what it points at. Without your page, the partner or an aggregator gets named instead.
Poster images are the whole aesthetic. Must they go?
Keep them. Add the same information as text beneath, and put it into Event markup.
What about recurring nights?
Publish each occurrence with its own date, or use the repeat fields. 'Every Thursday' is hard to answer with; a date is not.
Does an events feed help?
An RSS or iCal feed of upcoming dates is cheap and gets consumed by both aggregators and agents.
What should happen after an event?
Keep the URL, mark it past, and link to the next dates. Old URLs are already known to agents.
How do we check?
Scan one event URL at aiscan.site and see whether date, price and availability come back.

Scan your site and see where you actually stand

Free, no account, about twenty seconds. The report names every failing check by ID, shows the evidence we found, and gives the fix for your platform — plus a hand-off prompt you can paste straight into Claude Code or Cursor.
