AI readiness for agencies and studios

A gorgeous site that says nothing a machine can repeat back.

The moment

Ines, who runs an eight-person brand studio

A client-side marketing director asks an assistant to shortlist studios that have done packaging work for food brands and can start next quarter.

What the agent needs: Discipline, sector experience, proof of work, and availability.

What actually happens: Case studies are full-bleed images with the story in the artwork, the sector is never stated in words, and the services list is animated in on scroll. The assistant shortlists three studios with plain case-study text.

Which dimensions decide it, and why

AIScan grades five dimensions. These are the ones that carry the outcome for this kind of business.

Content

Agency sites fail the content dimension more often than any other category we see, because the craft goes into the visual layer. Every case study needs a text version: client, sector, problem, what you did, outcome.

Discoverability

Shortlisting is a search over specifics — sector, discipline, region. Those words have to exist on crawlable pages that are actually listed in the sitemap.

Content

Headings carry the outline an assistant uses to summarise you. Text layers styled to look like headings, with no semantic tag, produce a page with no shape at all.

The checks that matter here

Questions we get asked

Will adding text ruin the design?
It has not for anyone yet. Case-study text can live below the visuals; the requirement is that it exists in the HTML, not that it dominates the layout.
Do we need to name clients?
Name the sector at minimum. 'Packaging for a challenger food brand' is matchable; 'a recent client' is not.
Our site is one long scrolling page. Is that a problem?
Yes — one URL can hold one title and one description, so every discipline you offer competes for the same slot. Separate routes per service are the fix.
Should agencies publish rates?
A minimum engagement size is enough, and it filters the enquiries you did not want anyway.
How much does heading structure matter?
Enough to be its own check. One h1, then a real hierarchy — it is the outline an assistant reads before it reads anything else.
What is the fastest audit?
Scan your best case study, not your homepage. It shows whether your strongest work is legible at all.

Scan your site and see where you actually stand

Free, no account, about twenty seconds. The report names every failing check by ID, shows the evidence we found, and gives the fix for your platform — plus a hand-off prompt you can paste straight into Claude Code or Cursor.
